N/R, GYG’s Maiden Volunteers Connect Workshop Lights Up Tamale 

GYG successfully hosted its first Volunteers Connect Workshop at the Tuutingli head office in Tamale, focusing on shaping a brighter future for community development. The event gathered GYG volunteers and staff to dive into key themes: GYG’s theory of change, Sustainable Climate-Smart Agriculture, project implementation strategies, volunteer roles, leadership, and project cycle management.

Highlights included the Resilient Roots of Change (R2C) intervention, delivering practical agricultural solutions to household farmers in Tolon and Savelugu. The Executive Director urged volunteers to champion community development as the engine of social change, noting volunteers are vital first‑contact representatives in project management.

Madam Kibtiya Mohamed Faruk, GYG Administrator and key facilitator, inspired volunteers to be agents of change, advocating social justice. Volunteers commended GYG for boosting their capabilities in line with the organization’s core mandate.

The one‑day workshop sparked energy and commitment toward impactful community projects.
