Ghana Youth Guide’s CEO, Prince Chentiwuni S.A Fatawu has lauded his organisation’s operations in 2024 as an impressive year with the organization.

Below are the breakdown of some of the operations of GYG in 2024, which is briefly elaborated by Mr. Prince Chentiwuni.
Strengthening Ghanaian Youth Through Climate Smart Agriculture and Civic Organizing.
This intervention was aimed at building the capacity among Ghanaian youth in climate-smart agricultural practices and civic organizing.
The primary target group consisted of GYG 5 staff, 5 board, 10 volunteers as well as the 50 small-scale farmers, with a 60:40 female/male composition and including at least 12 Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).
The secondary target group is approx. 10,000 people of the two districts.
This intervention promoted climate-smart farming methods, enhance local knowledge about climate change and improved the capacity of GYG as an organisation, and developed a partnership between GYG and DIB.
The intervention was funded by the Civil Society in Development (CISU).
GYG continued with our Girls Conference initiative by hosting the second edition of the conference .
The 2024 Girls Conference was with the theme “Harnessing the girl power for social justice.” It was hosted at the Tamale Girls Senior High School Assembly Hall for the second time.
The first edition of the Conference was hosted in September 2019.
This conference also provided a platform for young girls to discuss issues affecting them and find solutions as change makers.
GYG under the 2024 year review roll out a movie night show at our office.
This event was initiated by the organization which brought together young people to watch educational films related to social issues, sparking discussions and reflections.
Ghana Youth Guide maiden edition of Business and Innovation Conference 2024:
GYG organized the maiden edition of the business and innovation conference to promote entrepreneurship and innovation among young people, by equipping them with skills and knowledge to start their own businesses for social change.
Sports Development Program: GYG Again hosted a sports Development program targeting young female footballers in Tamale.
This initiative was to empower these young players on their sexual and reproductive health and rights as they play soccer.
They brought two female teams together for the one day sports Development training which was held in Tamale at GYG main office at Tuutingli in the Tamale metropolis.
Oxford FC and Tuutingli FC were the beneficiary teams.
The second edition of the training said to commence this year 2025 where GYG hinted a possible collaboration with the Regional Ghana Football Association.

The organization again introduced a skills enhancement training for our staff and volunteers as well as board members.
Staff of Ghana Youth Guide (GYG) and volunteers went through a two days enhancement and skills development training. This was to support them as we role our an intervention on Strengthening the Ghanaian Youth Through Climate Smart Agriculture (SGY/CSA) project.
The training supported our staff and volunteers by building their capabilities on leadership, communication, conflict management and report writing for social change.
The organization efforts have contributed significantly to empowering Ghanaian youth in various areas, including climate action, girls’ empowerment, and entrepreneurship.
Speaking with the Executive Director Prince Chentiwuni S.A Fatawu in Tamale, he highlighted GYG plans for the 2025 by stating that, he and his team will reflect on the significant changes they made in 2024 and recharge for 2025 when it comes to youth intervention programs.

Ghana Youth Guide LBG is Registered with the Ghana Registrar Department with a Registration number: CG037110524 under the companies Act, 2019 (Act 992). GYG was founded on 10th May, 2010.
GYG is based in Tamale-Ghana, West Africa with 540 active members across the Northern Region. Our membership is open to all mindful human beings irrespective of tribe, gender, religion, and age.
