Project Assistant at DIB in Denmark,  Ms. Beatrice Blanda has arrived in Tamale for the 2024 Girls Conference.

She arrived in Tamale on Friday, 6th September, 2024 and was received at the Tamale International Airport by Executive Director of Ghana Youth Guide, Mr. Chentiwuni S.A Fataw, Director of Programs at GYG, Mr. Dawuni Peter Augustine and Director of Communications and Gender, Suhiyini Yakubu Abdul Mumin.

Ms. Beatrice Blanda will serve as Guest of Honor for the Girls Conference which will be held on Saturday, 7th September, 2024 at the Tamale Girls Senior High School in Tamale. She is the Project Assistant at DIB (Former Danish International Human Settlement’s). After the conference Ms. Beatrice is expected to embark on a field visit to GYG current project on Strengthening the Ghanaian Youth through Climate-Smart Agriculture and Civic Organizing which is technically supported by DIB and with funding from the Civil Society in Development.

The SGY-CSA intervention is been implemented in the Savelugu municipality Tolon district for a period of nine month. The project was official launched in the Northern Regional Capital in February this year at the Tamale Metro Assembly Hall.

The program will be on the theme ” Building the Capacities of Young Girls for Social Change.” Over six hundred girls from  senior high schools within the Tamale Metro and Sagnarigu Municipal are expected to attend  the program. She is expected to speak on climate change at the conference.

 

The Girls Conference 2nd edition was organized by Ghana Youth Guide with support from the Ghana Education Education, Face Ghana and Ineat Arts Company Limited.
