GYG R2C PROJECT: TOLON NAA CALLS ON YOUTH TO EMBRACE AGRICULTURE
The paramount chief for the Tolon Traditional Area, Naa yab Tolon Naa, Major (rtd) Sulemana Abubakari I has called on the youth of the country to embrace agriculture.
The revered traditional leader made this call at the launch of Ghana Youth Guide’s Resilient Roots of Change (R2C) Project in Tamale on Friday, 20th June, 2025.

Speaking on behalf of the paramount chief, Nyab Tolon Yapalsi Naa revealed that it has always been the call of the chief for the youth in his traditional area and across Ghana to embrace agriculture. “Tolon Naa cultivates over hundred hectares of land and it has always been his call after every Friday prayers for the youth in the area and across Ghana to embrace agriculture”. He said.
The retired senior military officer also advised the youth to refrain from cyber fraud popularly known as Sakawa which he described as thievery and embrace farming to empower themselves and also improve food security in the country. He further appealed to Ghana Youth Guide and its partners to assist the youth financially and the required knowledge to enable them engage in farming.
Ghana Youth Guide on Friday, 20th June, 2025 launched its Resilient Roots for Change Project at Picona Gardens in Tamale.
