Ghana Youth Guide held a one day Sports Development Training for Tuutingli Unity Ladies FC and Oxford Fc in the Tamale Metropolis.

This was as part of efforts made by the organization to empower young female soccer players on Reproductive Health and Rights. The female soccer players were also trained on Positive Mindset in Football for social change. One the organizations student interns from the Copenhagan University who was a facilitator during the one day training , Alexย  called on the young girls to take their training seriously, if they want to see themselves playing football at the international level especially playing for big football clubs in Europe.

 

The GYG Sports Development training which is under our ”Youth Village” Project brought together 40 young female soccer players and 10 coaches from both teams. ”According to our Executive Director Mr. Chentiwuni S.A Fatawu stated that, this is the first edition of the Sports Development Training being organized by the Ghana Youth Guide”.

He added that, the program will also hunt for young female soccer players from both teams by creating opportunities for them to explore more talent in their field of play. He again highlighted the need to educate young female soccer players on other sporting discipline which he believes will go a long way in supporting talent growth in football.
